List of Experiments:
  • Interconnection and earthing of frames: Occurence of fault when one enclosure is grounded, occurence of fault through neutral when one enclosure is grounded, occurence of fault when both the enclosures are grounded.
  • Working with protection relay: Tripping of protection relay, determine residual current device sensitivity, calculate maximum value of ground resistance.
  • Tripping a residual current device: Tripping a residual current device with one ELR and one ELCB, tripping a residual current device with one ELR and two ELCBs,measurement of fault current, tripping of higher current rating residual device, avoid tripping of all the circuit breakers in an installation.
  • Checking earth ground resistance: Testing with low value resistance, testing with high value resistance.
